The UK

The U.K. Is very cool in my opinion if a school kid from a England, Scottland, Wales or Northern Ireland the information about general UK would probably be about fascinating land marks, Animals, famouse stars, old story's about the UK and The Queen, they learn so much different things it is just there accents as well really different.

England – Were Shakespeare was born and The Beatles – is home to the capital, London, a globally influential and inspiring centre of finance and culture. My name is Nikora and I go to Hornby High School, I am a yr 7 this year and will be a year 8 next year, I really like playing sports my favorite sport is Basketball, I especially like to focus on reading when I like to because reading isn't my favorite subject Maths is I am pretty good at it too, And my favorite genre on movies are Horror. What is Your favorite Movie you have ever watched?

My teacher Whaea Raewyn is a graceful teacher she can get pretty mad sometimes but not all the time that is probably because her class is the best and good at different subjects. I would like to do this Summer Learning Journey because it is another experience I did not do this last year so why not do it this year.

If I would win I would want the Bluetooth speaker because have not had one ever I think and I really like Music as well So why not. 

Passion Project

My group's challenge this week is to get a blog post done before this Thursday, we are doing for Passion Project is a sports tournament on basketball and volleyball game as well as making posters about them, to sign up only if you are a year 7&8 and much more sports games like football/Soccer 

I and my group all have tasks to like for if we need the gym Tj.L, Aron.P, Micheal. H  will make a script to persuade Mr. Hilliard to let our group host some sports in the gyms including Volleyball, Basketball, and Soccer/Football, We are fundraising for the homeless,

SLJ The UK

Going to the United Kingdom would be a new experience and fascinating.

And this week we were learning about or just to do more blogging this week because this week we are now making a blog post about different places around the world like the UK which I am doing, Austrailia, Germany and much more other places.

Some facts about the UK is that the total population is around 66.02 Million people and the currency of the United Kingdom is pounds sterling and if you don't know what sterling means it basically means that it is like silverware and cutlery or just silver,

The ethnic mix is white, Asian, black, Mixed, Arab, Other and did you know that the UK's National Icons are 1. Queen 2. The Barbary lion 3. The rose 4. Cup of Tea 5. The oask tree,

Their national sports is Rugby union, Rugby league, Cricket, Netball, and more other sports.
That was most of the info I found in a couple of minutes.

Finding an answer with Google Filters

This week we have been learning to use the google filters more often and we had a challenge to using the google filters we had to search about what Amphibious means in when it was made and other cool stuff about what it means 

Amphibious is a land and water it means that it could be a car one minute then it could be a submarine the next minute and I got this information off of the images filter and all filter in the google search.

   I have had more information in the news most of the relevant were made in 1932 in the earlier 1900's and the news filter from Google  is were I got most of the info.    

Who is Austin Post

Austin Post A.K.A Post Malone how did Austin Post come up with the name Post Malone But... First when Austin Post is searched on Google and what came up were photos of Post Malone, information sites like Wikipedia and other sites to show information about him there are some bits of the page that show information about his or hers when he was born what he or she does for a living or who his/her parents are what he/she does for a living might be dancing or singing. The sites that come up when you search for someone like Post Malone it would most likely come up with Wikipedia and a little hint right under the title about Wikipedia just a little information literally.

Market day

On Market day there were tons of people were craving to have fun and my company name was called Boom Boom Pop Shot our company logo was P.B that stands for Pop Balloons.

Today my favorite part out of the whole day was that I made other people happy and I got to have fun as well I even let my group go and buy stuff and then they got carried away with all of the fun playing Fortnite.

But we (Nikora, Matthew, Sam, Lasa) made a very good profit to not be precise $33.00 now that is pretty good for a Carnival game

Business & Enterprise

For B&E Matthew, Sam, Lasa and I are doing a balloon popping carnival game and we will be having packaged lollies inside for 3 turns to pop the balloon and win your prize and that prize is a Stuffed creature, That is only if you get 4 or more popped balloons and you get the lollies that come with the balloons, If you pop 4 balloons in a row you will get a stuffed creature and they look pretty cool, Test your chances see if you can be the first to win.

What respecting people looks like in HHS?

W.A.L.T: For the last two week to show what respect looks like to people in Hornby High School is fine it shows that we all at Hornby High School know how to respect people and how to help people in different ways of respect.

For the couple of sessions on Galileo I have been writing stuff about him and like What he is mostly famous for and who he is and I wrote it all in a slide called Galileo Galilei Hope this slide helps you learn about him.

Facts About Eels

For some more learning I did some learning it was a task about Tuna or how the eels and how they live and things like that so hope you like the work that me and some friends worked on.

Recount a Long time ago

  For some more learning this week we did recount writing for just some learning to get a little learning in our heads but what I write about was the first time I ever went to the movies hope you like my writing.

Orientation	HOOK-YAY, YAY!, YAY!! “ SHHH the movie is starting ” Me, Nana, Brother. I went to the  Movies/cinema Jack reacher The first time ever going to a cinema that was the best
Sequence of events	Watching the movie; Me, Nana, Brother, Cinema seats, Trying to keep voices down, Low whisper. Treats for me! Treats for brother treats for Nana, Great! When eating it was hard not make noises when crunching food. People were getting annoyed a little but I was little and not that Good minded.
General statement	The movie was awesome, I wouldn’t mind another

First Cinema Visit

In 2012 I went to the movies and how did we get there we got there in a car and Nana was driving while me & my bro chilling in the back set talking about what movie we are going to watch.

When we got there for the first time I remember I was so! So excited and just normal Like I don’t know how but when we went to go watch

Jack reacher if I can remember correctly, The movies that I like in 2012 was Frankenweenie, Jack reacher, The Avengers and the first Hunger games I think that is right.

When we went to go inside the cinema we had to go to the ticket people,

The snacks on the shells were amazing and glorious.

Remember this was my first time going,

I was six too so they would of been the jackpot for me,

We got something at least before the movie started when we were inside.

The movie started well I thought but it was actually the trailers of the movies that were going to come out in 2012 and we went to put or give our tickets to the people how had the ticket thing or display sportive she I think was just placing the tickets some were in this cart thing I don’t know.

The movie was tremendous I like how the main character was being all spy it was giving me the spy feel you know like it was great but I have to admit some bits in the movie were not as good as other bits of the movie.

Last week I was doing another Post for science about Optical illusions and lets see what I found out.

The Stroop Effect

Last week I did a experiment on the Stroop effect if you don't know what the Stroop effect is, it is when anyone could right a ton of words that are colors and the draw the word in a different color to the word.

Aim:

I Will probably tell you how the Stroop effect works
I can tell you why the Stroop effect is interesting

Method:

I will start by writing some words that have to do with colors in different colors.

Results:  

I ended up just writing a color word in a different color this is what it probably looks like.

This is how it works so if I read out a word and say what color is the word purple and 50% of people would say purple but then it is colored in red so that is how the Stroop effect works and what is so cool if it works you can laugh a little because they got it wrong if they got it right that either means that they all ready know what the Stroop effect is so have fun tricking your friends.

Famous Psychologist Stanley Milgram

The past week before Easter I was doing a activity about a famous Psychologist Stanley Milgram he is a famous psychologist and I chose him because my father was born when Milgram past he past 1984 I know it was unfortunate that he died back then. 

Aim:

I want you to know that Stanley Milgram was a Psychologist that was famous for.
I want to know how Milgram was inspired to do what made him famous. 

Method:

I will tell you how he became a great an awesome psychologist.
I will tell you how he became a Psychologist.

Results:

Stanley Milgram born 1933 past 1984 he past  by a Heart Attack tragic death,

He was influenced to be a Psychologist of the Holocaust and that is a part of world war II but I won't get into that.

He was officially famous for the Obedience Studies that he was working on at Yale university.

Two Fun fact he has two children and He was a professor at Yale University.

    

What is MindMup?

The past week I chose a subject a activity it was all about MindMup and I made a MindMup explaining How, When, Why MindMups work and stuff like that.

Aim:

I wan't you to know what MindMup is.

Method:

I will tell you how it works and why you need to use it some times.

I will be saying the When, Where, Why, How and What] words about MindMup.

Results:   

How MindMup works is simple it works if you know what all the things on the top row is.

Six and Seven are about taking back what you did and getting it back from when you lost it.

Fifteen to Eighteen are stuff like finding what idea you need to use if you have a lot of ideas on one MindMup.

Nineteen to Twenty four are about zooming in and out and the rest of them is just to make them all into one stack of ideas like a pack of cards.

Body languege

Aim:

I want to find out how to see body languege.

Method:

I will give someone a complement then I will ask them to give me a complement.

They will have to rather have to lie lie or they will be saying the truth.

Now I will know how you lie and how the facial exasperation will look like.


Results:

I ended up telling them what there emotions and how the felt listening.

I started to do other positions to sit and if he/she started to copy that means we were bonding.

if they start to tilt there head when I am saying my thing then they are taking there time to actually listen to me. 

If I would tell them a question that has to do with there teachers and subjects then I would tell them that they are lying.

This is how to know what your friend or someone is doing when you are talking to them talking to you if you want to know what the feel when they are around you.

we did another word challenge for this week and this one was about a sentence could how did he or he/she get up there? and this is mine hope you like it.

The best friend of mine his name was P.T and we went rock climbing the first rock we climb was a normal rock to get to the big rock, The big rock was a mountain then we climbed it like it was nothing but when we were he got so high I said in my head how did he get up there and he told me because he was DA best? Wait wwhhaatt. I asked him how and he told no one? Wonder why.

HANDS ON FIRE!!!!!

Aim: 

I wan't to find out how to Safely set my hands on on fire 

Method:

I don't think that something went wrong because I was so calm and did what instruction
said.
I might need to fix something if not comment.
Probably something that is related to fire maybe a rocket with fire coming out probably?

The video said most of it but in my own words I went to go get my safety on then I went to get my Hands wet then I scooped up the bubbles graceful then I got my hands fire and let go slowly and then I showed my palms.

All about me

Kia ora my name is Nikora and I’m a year 7 at Hornby High School my teacher’s name is Whaea Raewyn in the weekends I like playing basketball and Esports just because it is fun to do.

I can work on tall tables really well probably because I can focus more. If I would ever want to get good at something as a kid I would want to get better Maths and Literacy because I think that I’m not very good at those subjects and to improve my behaviour.
