Hurumanu - Science: Solar Energy...

Aim: To find out which color attracts the suns heat.

Hypothesis:

I think that what will happen with solar energy's or what will happen with one...
Hypothesis meaning... It means to guess something... but out of the information you already have...
I think that the black covered cup will heat up the most because of how the heat will or can get threw the black paper but also make the heat stay inside of the surrounding black paper...

Materials:

  1.  Three Plastic Cups...
  2.  Tin Foil...
  3. Black paper...
  4.  White paper...
  5.  Water...
  6. Heat lamp...

Steps

  1. Collect The Materials...
  2.  Pour the water into the three cups...
  3.  Wrap one Foam Cup in tin foil...
  4.  Wrap the others in the other materials... Black plastic...
  5. Put the materials of the cup, under the cup...
  6. Put the water into all three cups...
  7.   set the heat lamp up so that it can reach all three cups...

Findings:

This is basically what we have done with the experiment...
The cups will absorb the heat from the heat lamp,
So that the water warms up...

Conclusion

I have learned to make a heat lamp for solar power or...
To make water heat up and to see what cup will heat up the fastest with a different material surrounding the cup, I have learned about what the solar energy can do to different.

Hurumanu - Science - Orana park... Climate change :)

Aim: The aim is to write about what we enjoyed on the trip we went on to Orana park, and how climate change can affect the animals and their environment...

Orana Park - On Tuesday three classes from Hornby High School ( HHS ) went to the animal care home called Orana Wildlife Park, including myself, but we were split up into four groups...
we got to see the lions first we learned how climate change is affecting the Lions habitats,

Three things I enjoyed about the trip:

  • One thing I enjoyed about going to Orana park was just seeing the animals, because when your at school we don't get to see many animals, and also they are just really fun to learn about them.
  • Seeing the animals was also great... Learning how their environment will or already has changed from climate change by... Deforestation for one, deforestation has made so many problems for changing other animals' habitats and even food sources, but there are a few things that deforestation has done to sorta help the wildlife, like using palm oil.
  •   Being there, To be honest, I have a favorite animal, and my favorite animals are the Giraffe Because they are tall and self less, they have to do really tough stuff too because their height is sorta a weird problem but, the will adapt to there wildlife but they still can still be hunted by many animals...
