A Santa encounter

For writing this week we had a piece of paper with numbers next to them my character was a gingerbread boy or girl the setting of time Christmas eve the setting of place north pole and a fascinating discovery Santa was alone and I  hope you like my story.   

HOOK- I am sorry Santa

Beginning

Once upon a time there was a little Gingerbread boy his name was Wilson and he is about fifthteen years old and he was in trouble a lot he did not get presents when he was absurd on christmas eve but he still believed in Santa so the next christmas eve and before that he tried to be good but he wasn’t as good as he could get so wilson got even more mental and ran off he remembered that santa lives in the north pole so he knew that he should travel there the next year so he did.

Middle

So on christmas eve Wilson got ready to go to the north pole to find santa claus it was a trip of the best for Mr Wilson that took the journey, he was happy of the long walk because it was an experience for him he has never took a long work before soon he started getting cold at the end of the walk because the closest you get the north pole the colder.

END

Santa had the most happiest workers of all time that is what everyone thought Ginger Kind humankind and all thought that then wilson got to the north pole and saw santa alone with presents around him so wilson went out to santa and gave santa a happy smile with a hug too and then wilson got his friends and his ginger kind to help santa and to give him friendship.

Christmas traditions

Different stuff that I learn't was about the languages they all mean merry Christmas in different languages there is Danish, German,         

We are learning about Christmas traditions around the world, Today I learn that Italy hardly drink and eat on Christmas day, Because this is a special Prayer, And I learn't that they have nice cribs in their churches and homes, The Italians share there gifts on the 6th of January, remembering the three wise men who brought their gifts to Jesus, The gifts are bought by a young lady riding a broomstick. 

Those were the new things that I learn't from Italy tell about what you learn't of different traditions from different countries if you know any.

Romeo and Juliet similarity to Hinemoa & Tutanekai

Third: Romeo meet Juliet secretly
Fourth: They Married each other

So the love from Romeo & Juliet was placed in Verona, Italy where the two families took place one of the families where Montague and the other was the Capulet and the Parents or both clans have hated each other for a long time Romeo was an Montague and Juliet was a Capulet,    

 Romeo was a lover he was looking for love he like someone but she did not like him back so he left her because his cosine told him to leave her and the Benvolio was basically his best friend they encouraged him to stay away from her so he did.

Then there his friends invited him to a Capulet's party it was a costume party so Romeo's friends thought it would be cool to go to it they thought the Capulet's wouldn't find out so Romeo went with his cousin and friend to the Capulet's party Romeo thought that they might find out that they were Montague.

Old Capulet had a daughter that was Juliet, Capulet was hoping that Juliet will agree to marry Count Paris and he is excited to spend time with her at the party which of course is were Romeo and is friends are going.

Know when Romeo and his friends get to the party they were probably nervous because there not meant to be there exact they were not invited so they got in and Romeo's friends went to have fun while Romeo first saw Juliet walking down the left side of those two way stairs with Count Paris as Romeo smiled at Juliet then she smiled back at him then they talked when Paris was talking to Capulet it was love at first site Romeo was sad because it is Capulet's daughter so he was sad but he took the risk of falling in love with her

Romeo soon finds out she loves him too they talked threw the window the second time they meet the talked secretly that they were going to marry each other on secret. while the party was still on Romeo had to leave with his friends.

On the way home Tybalt is still angry that Montague came to the Capulet party so he challenges Romeo but he refuses to fight and then Mercutio agrees to fight Tybalt the Romeo tries to stop the fight by getting in the way Tybalt ends up stabbing Mercutio and then Romeo get's angry and kills Tybalt with a pounding strike and then he makes it home fast home.


Juliet get's sad to hear that her cousin's death and because Romeo has too leave Verona She has another problem too, Her father is going to force her to marry Count Paris. She ends up getting advice from Friar Lawrence Juliet gets poison from Friar Lawrence  and drinks it she ends up getting she is just in a paralyses conciseness that means that she is in deep sleep for about 40 minutes.

  Romeo returns to Verona with a poison he soon finds out that she is dead but she is not dead but Lawrence could not get the message to Romeo so he ends up drinking to poison and he dies then Juliet wakes up and see's that Romeo is dead so she crabs his dagger and stabbed her self.

A tragedy stopped the war Between the Montague'sand the Capulet's because they saw Romeo and Juliet lying down next to each other.

Hinemoa & Tutanekai the love story

Today for learning and reading we read a myth and legend book it was could Hinemoa & Tutanekai the legend from the Te Arawa people, The story theme is all about love, first we got an activity to write three questions down about Hinemoa & Tutanekai and about how they meet and stuff like that, So the story was all about Hinemoa & Tutanekai and there love

The story was about two people there was a beauty high - ranked young laddie was the daughter of an influential chief could Hinemoa and she was the one looking for love, And there was a man could

Tutanekai he was a brave worrier that went to Hinemoa's and her fathers land around Owhata the shores of lake Rotorua, 

Because of her high rank, Hinemoa was declared sacred, Her family like her father for instants or her sibling too could or had to choose a husband for when Hinemoa Tutanekai and most of his family from  the island Mokoia in lake Rotorua t hey meet on the shores of Owhata the shores of lake Rotorua 

they loved each other from the very start and Hinemoa knew that her family wasn't going to accept the love the relationship so Hinemoa swam because she could not push one of there boats out so she got water barrels not plastic ones the kind that were carved out of wood, so she got them and swam to Tutanekai's island Mokoia 

When Hinemoa got to Tutanekai's island she was cold because she could not wear her feather or cloth skirt in the water because she would drown because of the weight so she got cold when she got there she found a hot pool were a servant was sent to get some water he got some but Hinemoa bumped in and told the servant to go get her water please said Hinemoa so he got some and gave it to her she told the servant to tell Tutanekai that she was there and the she smashed the Hui and he ran to tell him

Tutanekai went to the big puddle and the fell in love so they stayed together in happy out of love eventually Umaru the father found out that they were in love and then he let them be.

The Alarm Call

This activity was fun there was a picture of a goblin creeping on a kitten sleeping on a kitten shaped pillow with little kitten play balls we had to write or describe a story about it and make a unexpected twist with it. So here is my story

Hook- As the Green skin  beast CREEPS!!! And tries not to wake up the Kitten

The Green ferocious beast creeps along the floor stomping slowly, quietly because there is a white and gorgeous kitten was sleeping on a pink dotted kitten pillow  the kitten is asleep like a bug in a rug so the green beast stops in the mid air with one knee high over the kitten he slowly tries to get over the kitten but he will make a sound if he moves. Move and the ground will make creak sound so what he has to do is stay calm and find a solution.

Prrr!! Sleeping sucks but I still want to sleep so I wonder what I might do when I wake up ok ok I probably should stop talking to myself and go to sleep so what am I going to dream about know what about the candyland place okay so then let’s go to sleep then. Ahh!! What is that sound hopefully it is not an intruder to harm my owner.

I should wake up ahh! What is that it looks like it is green it looks at me like I am some food I better take care of him I should ah do some karate onna him so that teacher teached the karate to him and I sore most of it so um karate chop and slice Crack!!! oh no your leg looks great how about some makeup Boom!!! What happened to your nose It looks ahh nice how about that who is the baddy know oh who is the baddy know? Oh no what have I done Im sorry.

As the cat is saying sorry to the green beast the goblin moves and the ground drops beneath the white fluffy kitten and it falls very quickly not being able to see where it is in the air so it falls to it’s death and good night folks that was the play for tonight and good night.           

Amazing tricks with spread sheets

For this week on Google spread sheets we figured out how to do things with things like creating Minecraft skins I made some adjustments to mine and we even did things with numbers, Names and dates.

This is my picture or creation of Minecraft skin and I created this with spread sheet yeah it was making so I got a Minecraft picture from the internet and I tried to make it the same on the other side as you can see I did some adjustments to the back round as well.

This is my spread sheet full of different things to do within spread sheets so if you want to solve out some 11 x tables well go on to the spread sheet and put in the times tables 11 and then the second box 22 and then 33 for the next box highlight the eleven all the way down to 33 and then there is a blue dot thing at the bottom right corner and drag it down for as long as you can probably up to 25 it will x up by 25 so 11 x 25 like equals up to 275 there is the math.  

What does success mean to me?

For this activity we made a few pictures or wrote 4 things that success means to us and this is what success means to me   

Learning journey Day #5 One Step at a Time...

Today for literacy we did day 5 and it was all about different things like Peter Jackson I chose him because he is a cool guy and I like the lord of the rings and the Rail Trail I like biking and seeing the trees move with the wind.

For literacy we did a poem about the new school named Te Manu Tukutuku we were writing about what you would hear what you wold smell in the new class rooms and see and by see I mean what do you think the kids would be doing.

Your gonna need a bigger boat

1. Once upon a time there was a boat lonely roaming into the forbidden lands on the way they meet a T-Rex the people on the boat probably were thinking we need a bigger boat.
2. Once upon a time there was big T-Rex roaming the sure line on the forbidden lands then a bout visited the close neighbors and the boat was gone easy as that in my head I was thinking they would've needed a bigger boat.
3. One day there was a boat just sterling on the coast of Atlanta one in a million the city raised and when it rise there unexpected dinosaurs on the island the people on the boat were like is this an illusion when the T-Rex came at them then at this moment they knew that they stuffed up they needed a bigger boat.
4. On my friends birthday I got him a boat he was my friend. Then on one morning we went for a ride we traveled and we found a place never seen before never heard of it and we are close to it so we checked it out and there was a T-Rex and we tried to leave but we needed a bigger boat.
5. One time there was a boat and me and my friend stall it and we went out on it and we found a place and a T-rex it was lying there and it woke up as soon as we were near it we need a pirate boat a bigger boat.
6. Once upon a time there were to people there names were Aurora and Jack they both went off on an adventure on a boat it was a small one then after they were heading to the island, mysteriously land and dinosaurs appear out of nowhere a T-rex past them and then after a few minutes everything stops the land, Trees and bushes, the dinosaurs stopped running stopped playing and then they disappeared, vanished. Aurora and Jack if we went into a fight with them they would've needed a bigger boat.

For this week an last week we have been doing something on Netiquette and Netiquette is were (net) comes from Inter (net) and Etiquette mean respect other users or people'Watchers and putting away online and it is common quality and other groups or viewers are having a discussion.

Digi Awards

For Digi Awards a group set up a "Make their day shop". I could buy a Ice block and instead of paying with money  I paid with a kind act to make someones day. I choose to say hi to someone every day to pay for my ice block.

Tornadoes The tube of Wind

General statement	Tornadoes. It’s a fast spinning tube of air. Touching the ground and the clouds above.
Description	Grey. Ice cream cone. Most have wind speed to get up to 300 mph the average is 100 mph.Twisters. They damage anything that is in their way. Tornado alley . USA. Texas and Dakota. Tornadoes can pick up buildings/cars and sometimes hurt people. Not all Tornadoes are visible.
Evaluation	I think Tornadoes are awesome because of so much wind the wind has to use so much moving air.

Tornadoes

Tornadoes are fast spinning harmful tubes/funnel of cloud/Wind. It has to be touching the ground and the clouds above to be an official Tornado.

Tornadoes are grey and white sometimes and the look like a ice cream cone and candy floss combined. Not all tornadoes are visible. Their are Different Tornado structures some are made out of Water some are made out of fire.

Tornadoes are violent and dangerous they can harm,hurt and kill people. Most have wind speed up to 300 mph but the average is up to 150 mph. Their is a alley named after Tornadoes it in USA Texas and Dakota. There are different names for a Tornado and they are Twisters/Cyclone/Typhoon and funnel.

I think Tornadoes are awesome because of so much wind the wind has to use so much moving air.  

The Mindset

 We learnt to make a slide about the mindset we learnt about the Growth mindset and learnt about the fixed mindset too and then we put it in to a slide show.

Holiday Recount

We were writing about the holidays and what we had to do elaborate to a Orientation, Sequence of events and General statements.

WALT -  We are learning to write a recount using a hook in the Orientation and elaboration of 1 idea.

Orientation	Hook- WOOOHOOO!!!! So excited “Shh the movie is starting” Me my aunty and my brother and my too little cousins. We went to the Movies/Cinema. Despicable Me 3
Sequence of events	Watching a movie 5 of us in each seat together, Cinema seats. Staying as quiet as possible, Trying not to say anything about what is on the big screen, 5 to 10 centimeter voices.    Got lots of food for the movie, Lollies, Bars, Chips. I tried not to make the crunching noise when you eat chips but I ended up making the crunching noise, I ended up annoying people around me.
General statement	That movie was really gelid, hope to see another.

WOOOHOOO!!!! So excited “ Shh!! the movie is starting” In the holidays me and my brother’s aunty and her kids all went to the Movies/Cinema. The movie we went to go see was Despicable Me 3.

On Thursday We got some food for the movie we had some fun going to the Riccarton mall just going to get the food the food was Lollies the lollies were Starbursts, A couple of bars the bars were chocolate bars and some Chips the chips were Chicken, Salt n, Vinegar and just normal chips after that we went to watch the movie.

We are watching the movie and all five of us were sitting in our seats. It's a little hard when there is something so cool like an easter egg in the movie and you want to point it out or shout it out that’s what I felt like, I tried to have a 5 to 10 centimeter voice.                  

While the movie was playing I was eating the chicken chips and while I was eating the chips I made a crunching noise it was a little bit annoying for other people around me I could tell even my aunty was annoyed and I kept making the crunching noise. Then I stopped because it would make the movie a little terrible because of the crunching just going away other people around me would just hear the crunching.

In the Movies/Cinema was really dark all I could see was just the screen it was dark as the night sky what would be funny is that I went there at night, it looked like we were just out side without any properties around us but just chairs and other people it was so dark and the screen was so bright as bright as a laser in your eye.     

The movie was so gelid/cool my favorite part in the movie was The minions started to sing in like a performance they just started to sing, Hope to see another when the time comes.   

Long division

We learnt how to do the strat for division we learnt it the we created a screen castify about it then we made a post about it and how it is done. 

Severe weather description

WALT - Describe a severe weather picture using different sentence starters.

AH! this wind is probably like you shall not pass windy, Severe weather comes in the most biggest morph some don’t come in the biggest forms. Wind is a very dangerous weather.

The wind is a really noisy weather the sound it makes is sortive a whistling noise like a windy instrument, you could probably hear people yelling because of how much the wind isn't good at whistling, the wind is so alarming that if you listen closely you can hear the houses,Trees, Vehicle, and probably not people flying around or crashing or falling over.

Wind you can’t see the wind but you can’t know what the wind looks like but you can’t see it so I’m going to tell the reader what the surroundings are their are a bunch of signs, Trees, Broken down cars, rocks and a little river that's what can see.

The wind is a very dangerous weather. What do you think about the weather? One of the most deadliest weather.  

  

Inter land

We learnt how to be safe online by playing a game could Interland. First we learnt about the game and then we made a screencastify about the game to show how to play or how to be safe online.

WALT Use paint to create the feathers and to see their effect. 


First we sketched our penguin shape.
Then we painted the black.
When it dried we painted the orange, the yellow and lastly the white and the eyes.

WALT Use crayons and dye to show movement the ripples in a weather feature.

BLURB First we put white crayon on white paper for the rain after that we put dye on the paper to show the rain and  we were allowed to draw a rainbow.

 BLURB In Literacy I am learning about Antarctica animals. I went to the Antarctic center for a trip. I researched all about Antarctica and the animals that live on Antarctica. I wrote a description about animals. I used the correct structure of a description. It has an introduction,characteristics and evaluation I used a hook too.  

Today we learned about Animals that live in Antarctica I talked about A bird It's could Giant petrel.

Characteristics	It's a bird from Antarctica it’s Weight: 5 kg and its height: 87 cm and feathers to keep them safe and warm at Antarctica wingspan: 180-205 cm. They must be scary for penguins. Did you know? The population of the birds are 150,000.
Evaluation	They are Dangerous, Aggressive and it would be hard to keep them as a pet.

The Giant petrel

Ahhhhh! Scary! Giant petrels, Giant petrels live in Antarctica they are birds

Giant petrels color are white, grey orange and pink the white is their head and the pink is the mouth/beak and the grey is near the chest the orange are the feet. Giant petrels don’t come different sizes. female Giant petrels are about 89 cm in height males are about 87 cm in height.

Giant petrels eat Fish, Penguins, Seals and Whale carrion. Giant petrels live in Antarctica Giant petrels live around about over 35 years and under 60 years.

Giant petrels habitat in the southernly area of Antarctica. Most live in/on mountains or the bottom of any mountain in the southernly area where they can hide from other predators.

They are Aggressive, Dangerous they would be so hard to keep as a pet.

Planning-Hide and Seek
